Aftermovie capturing Aarhus Volume’s ten-day programme during Aarhus Festuge, unfolding across street parties, concerts, and club nights throughout the city.
During Aarhus Festuge’s 60th anniversary, Aarhus Volume activated the city through ten days of concerts, street parties, workshops, and club nights across multiple locations. The project set out to capture this dispersed programme as a single, coherent experience — from Klostertorvet and Studsgade to Volume Village — reviving the spirit of Aarhus’ iconic street culture while reflecting the scale and diversity of the programme.
The after-movie was built around a zooming in / zooming out narrative, moving between city-wide perspectives and intimate moments on the ground. We were trying to express each location's unique energy, by using different 'in-camera' techniques. By implementing different dynamics in the post-production, we've ended up with a very immersive visual, that keeps your focus in place.
The film functions as both documentation and identity piece for Aarhus Volume during Festuge, used across digital platforms and future communication. It presents the programme as one body operating across the city, strengthening AV visibility and reinforcing its role as a key cultural driver within Aarhus Festuge.
